Radical: Italian Design 1965-1985,

the Dennis Freedman Collection exhibition

6 July 2022 - 8 January 2023
Museum of Decorative Arts and Design in Bordeaux
Madd-bourdeux, 39 Rue Bouffard

The Madd-Bordeaux showcases the work of Nanda Vigo (1936-2020), an Italian artist, designer and architect. This first monograph in France offers a new look at her work through an unprecedented immersive experience in the luminous, colourful and sensory universe of the artist. A pioneering figure, Nanda Vigo marked the second half of the 20th century with her avant-garde approach, recognized and shared with the greatest actors of the Italian artistic scene: Piero Manzoni, Lucio Fontana, Gio Ponti and Ettore Sottsass. Her creations in glass, steel or mirror include us physically and emotionally in space. Both experimental and immersive, her works testify to her autonomy of action and thought.
